The app notifies you when groups of friends are going or check-into bars and parties. Users can check-in automatically, even if the app is shutdown with your phone in your pocket. Each place in Shmeet has its own Story . When users check-in, the camera unlocks. Capturing a picture or video is fast and easy. Uploads are completely anonymous because we want users to provide an unfiltered view of their college social scene. The Shmeet Map gives you a bird s eye view of your social landscape. Each Shmeet location is beautifully displayed by a custom pin. Users can quickly access gender ratios, who s going, checked-in, and the Story playing at that place. Stories play from most recent uploads first, so watch live as the night unfolds or see what s happening without even being there! Disclaimer: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
